Pearl Babies

I promised y'all a freebie and Tee-Dah here she is! Please enjoy and play until your heart is content! <3 Pam

Pearl Babies

This is an Intermediate level pattern written in US crochet terms.

Materials Needed:
Worsted Weight Yarn – Doubled using two strands in Skin Color and in Undies Color
Small Amount of Yarn for Hair Color              Small Amount of Ribbon for Hair
Small Amount of Embroidery Floss or Thread for Facial Features
Polyfil Fiber Stuffing                                            5.5mm Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle                                                     Stitch Markers

Gauge is not as important as crocheting tightly so that the stuffing does not come out. If you want a smaller baby use 1 strand of Worsted Weight yarn and a 3.5mm hook.
NOTE: The pattern is worked in a spiral and not joined at the end of each round. Use a Stitch Marker and mark the last stitch in each round then continue on to the next round’s directions.

  4. Super cute! I have 2 quick and easy questions to verify what I am reading above--
1- The whole item is made with 2 strands held together as one?
2- What color exactly would you suggest for the skin color?
    Thanks!!

  5. Shannon, yes you use 2 strands of worsted to achieve this size for all the crochet. These babies were all done with Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn - light peach. ~pam
